| "Noise"
Not all girls are princesses
And not all boys like trucks
Everybody got they differences
And if you don’t like it, then you’re out of luck.
Not all girls are girlie-girls;
Nope, there’s a lot of tomboys
And not all boys like sports and tree forts
Hey – you gotta make your own noise.
Listen to your own voice
You gotta make your own noise
Listen to your own voice
You gotta make your own noise.
You are exactly the same as no one.
Everybody dancing to the beat of they own drum
It’s so fun to smile and be wild and free
Climb a tree; go play hide and seek by the creek
Skateboard or shake your butt to the beat
Play cooks in the kitchen – like, “What should we eat?”
A million games in your brain whether boy or girl
Imagination is the best toy in the world.
So think for yourself and do what you like
Tell anyone who thinks you’re not cool – “take a hike”
You’re a star, so shine –make it bright like laser light
If they say the sky is the limit, go take a space flight
Freedom tastes right – you know what doesn’t?
Grumpy people stoppin’ you from being fun-lovin’
Life is an art, I’m callin’ you smart
If you be yourself and let your brain follow your heart
Not all girls are princesses
And not all boys like trucks
Everybody got they differences
And if you don’t like it, then you’re out of luck.
Not all girls are girlie-girls;
Nope, there’s a lot of tomboys
And not all boys like sports and tree forts
Hey – you gotta make your own noise.
Listen to your own voice
You gotta make your own noise
Listen to your own voice
You gotta make your own noise.
It’s a big world and it’s changing every day
You can look out of the window and it’s never the same
And you’re changing, too, like the seasons outside
And I’m tellin’ you – that’s a reason to smile wide.
They say diversity is the spice of life
Cause every person sees with a different type of sight
So what I like, you might not like, and that’s just fine
We’re both right – we don’t need to fight and be unkind
What’s mine are my decisions to make
And what’s yours are the chances you take, and that’s the dance we create
It takes two to Tango, we’re different, but the same, though
Like guitars and banjos
Bananas and mangoes, snow shoes and sandals
Without both rain and sun, a plant can’t grow
We needs lots of colors; otherwise the painting will bore us
That’s why my brain doesn’t do the same thing that yours does
Not all girls are princesses
And not all boys like trucks
Everybody got they differences
And if you don’t like it, then you’re out of luck.
Not all girls are girlie-girls;
Nope, there’s a lot of tomboys
And not all boys like sports and tree forts
Hey – you gotta make your own noise.
Listen to your own voice
You gotta make your own noise
Listen to your own voice
You gotta make your own noise.
