She laughed and told him that she

Or Go Fish
Or her two favorites,
Hearts and Bridge
His favorite was War
So they played that
He yelled “Take that!” every time he won
With a fake laugh
Then they tied dolls
To his toy train tracks
And made clay spacecraft
That they smashed
Destroying toys
Was his favorite game
Plus he enjoyed
Makin’ up names
To call her
He’d never had a friend before
So she tried to show him love
That’s what friends are for

Believe it or not
They started hangin’ out sometimes,
Even a lot
Those days became weeks
Weeks became months
They played games for fun
Mostly the same ones
Cause whenever she talked about love
He made faces
Tryin’ to get them to trade places

Hate is strong,

And one day, she couldn’t wait
One minute longer
