I woke up early this night
It was bright outside so I turned on the light. (That’s right)
Now pretty soon I got to leave
So I brushed my face and I washed my teeth
Man, I’m full, I need breakfast
Eggs with extra syrup and some pancakes with some ketchup.
I put my socks on my ears and after that
I put my underwear on my head and sat on my hat.
Then as a matter of fact
I drove to school while my dad sat in the back
As he left, I waved and I yelled “hello.”
It’s a little bit late, so I walk real slow
To get to my desk after the bell rings.
Then I call on my teacher and ask her to spell things.
She gets it wrong so I give her an A

I slide up the slide, then I slide off.
The kickball game was great ‘cause my side lost.
Then it’s time for tag, that’s fun to play
Cause when I’m it, I run away.
Next it’s lunch, and I can’t wait to share it.
I take all my cookies and I trade for carrots.
I cut my food with a spoon, I eat my soup with a fork
I cut an apple in half so I can chew on the core
Then it’s back to the classroom
We got art first but I hope we do math soon
Cause hard work’s more fun than play

In a couple of minutes school is finished
I wonder what’s for dinner-I hope that it’s spinach
And Brussels sprouts and sauerkraut – not pizza
The bell rings, and out runs the teacher.
I’m waitin’ for my parents to come
And if I’m lucky, then they got some errands to run.
Let’s go to the bank, let’s go to the store
Let’s rush home then, so I can go do my chores.
I gotta water the dog and walk the plants
And then it’s dinner, so I better not wash my hands.
But dessert first – awww, do I hafta?
Only if I can take a bath after.
Then I check that my homework isn’t done
I think about tomorrow and I hope it isn’t fun
Then I get back into bed and go back awake
