I’m lookin’ good
In my monkey suit
And I like fruit
For lunch and for munchies, too
I hang with my family gang
A large band,
We stand guard
And protect our land
From intruders – back up –
We do throw stuff
Sticks, coconuts, and,
Well, you know what
But we show love
Monkey mamas cuddle newborns
Keep ‘em clean and warm
And get their food for ‘em
Monkey daddys keep the place
Safe from danger
Howlin’ at strangers
Like, Yeah, you’re scared, ain’t ya?

Shell on my back
Ride low to the ground
When I make turtle tracks
Some turtles snap
Some live in the sea
Some live in the forest
Goin’ under the trees
Some turtles got flippers
And some got feet
Some were hatched from an egg
That was laid on a beach
Cold blooded!-I’m a reptile
Check my scales
From the tip of my nose
To the end of my tail
So much variety
Tortoise to the terrapin
Find me in the wild
Or at home in an aquarium
So turtle-plus I’m related
To the dinosaurs
And I got some cousins swimmin’
In your local reservoirs
Eatin’ bugs and leaves
Wherever I roam
And since my shell’s on my back
I’m always home.

Sleepin’ through the night
Underneath the moonlight
Then wake up to the next day
